The Sellafield Ltd graduate programme application window opens for our 2024 intake on 4th September and will close on 27th October.

Stage 1: Realistic Job Preview

You can do this by clicking here, or you will find a link to this on the job advert.

Stage 2: Application Form

Discover all of our opportunities via our search and apply page and take advantage of the great insights that can help you reach your career goals.
Make sure you fill out all the required fields and check your emails frequently for any updates or upcoming changes.
Top tip: Be clear on why you have chosen to apply for the graduate programme at Sellafield, and include all relevent information i.e. degree, grade and experience.

Stage 3: Online Assessment

If you meet the appropriate entry requirements, you will be asked to take an online Strength & Values assessment. This assessment has been designed to evaluate your skills and knowledge in topics related to safety, security and other important topics. By completing this assessment, you can gain an invaluable insight into your strengths and values as well as into the qualities which you can demonstrate throughout your career.
You will have 5 working days to complete this assessment in full.

Stage: 4: Video Interview

Following successful completion of the assessment, you will be invited to attend a Strength-Based Video Interview.
Strength-Based interviews are a little different from traditional interviews. We want to learn about your strengths and the unique things that you are naturally good at. Be prepared to give us examples of how you managed different situations and display your skills in various scenarios.
Top Tip: Allow time before your video interview to prepare and make sure you are in a quiet area.

Stage 5: Virtual Assessment Centre

In our next stage, we will invite you to an assessment centre via Microsoft Teams. You will experience a range of exciting exercises that will showcase your skills and talents to our team. Gain invaluable experience and make connections as you tackle a paired exercise, a strength-based interview and a technical presentation.

Make the most of this opportunity – network, demonstrate and impress! We look forward to seeing you there.

Stage 6: Conditional Offer

If you successfully complete your assessment centre, you could receive an exciting and rewarding conditional offer at Sellafield with a fantastic benefits package.

What’s more, you would become part of an organisation that is ready to meet the challenges of the future and look after the environment, all while making a lasting contribution to the local economy and communities.

Stage 7: Pre-employment Checks

We’re sure you understand the nature of our company, meaning we must comply with the relevent security procedures. Your conditional offer will be subject to you completing a medical check and receiving the appropriate security clearance. You must also provide evidence of your degree classification at this stage, if you have not already done so.

Stage 8: Confirmation of Start Date

Once you have successfully completed the Pre-Employment checks, we can then confirm your offer of employment with Sellafield. Your start date will be towards the end of September, as our Graduate Programme is cohort-based.
