Job Description

Developing Engineer is a new scheme designed to develop employees, who have a minimum level 3 qualification, (in an Engineering, Science or Technical subject), into critical roles including Plant, Maintenance and Reliability Engineers.

The Expression of Interest will be advertised once per year with the first advertisement going on the internal VN board week beginning 15th April 2024. This will be advertised for 1 month. Shortlisting will take place in May and Informal Discussions will be held.

Successful applicants will commence a 2 year programme, commencing in January 2025, where they will take part in a number of placements across Engineering & Maintenance. They will be provided with a support network.

They will be temporarily promoted to B4B and subject to successful completion of all programme requirements, will be confirmed in post using the E&M Career Pathway.

It is expected that interested applicants who are not already studying towards a level 5/6 qualification, raise a Further and Higher Education request to commence study in the 2024/25 Academic Year. Available via K2.
