Our range of 1-week immersive Work Experience Programmes gives you the chance to work with the teams delivering work for one of the UK’s most important sites and explore careers that are anything but ordinary.

We have opportunities in areas that you might not expect, as well as those you would, this year we are offering opportunities in; · Engineering Design Available to learners in years 11 to 13. · Sellafield Advanced Business Analytics (SABA) Available to learners in years 10 to 13. We are delivering against national safety, security and energy needs. In operating, developing, and decommissioning the Sellafield site, we are also delivering the largest environmental restoration project in Europe. In short, we solve complex nuclear, engineering, and infrastructure challenges for the UK every single day. In the past, we have been responsible for breakthroughs such as the world’s first full-scale commercial nuclear power station, and today we are helping to keep lights on across the UK by safely receiving and storing spent nuclear fuel from the UK’s fleet of power stations. Sellafield is the only site in the country that can safely manage all forms of nuclear waste, with our teams finding new ways to ensure it is kept safe until a permanent disposal facility is ready. We are also guardians of the UK’s largest stockpile of nuclear materials. Our world-class engineers and nuclear professionals tackle these challenges with the same spirit of innovation that has always run through our organisation. We are seeking Architects of varying levels levels of experience, who are looking to develop a specialist career in Cyber. These roles sit within a maturing cyber security function in a highly regulated, safety and mission critical environment here at Sellafield. We are looking to recruit talented and passionate Architects who are looking to make a real impact in developing cyber capabilities in-house. The Security Architects will take responsibility for ensuring that cyber security is embedded by design into Digital, Enterprise, and Operational Technology systems. The roles will support the development and implementation of security architectures and standards across the organisation, delivering expert technical input and advising projects and programmes to reduce cyber security risk. Working across the three areas (Enterprise, Security, and OT), these roles will provide critical input to protect sensitive systems, data, and infrastructure in a nuclear-regulated environment. We are looking for a variety of skills to support us with our Mission, so whether you are a seasoned Security Architect or have a background in Solutions or Network Architecture with some understanding of cyber security and experience of working in regulated environments, we’d love to hear from you!
