Talent Acquisition Strategy Lead
Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Strategy Lead is responsible to for developing and delivering the candidate engagement through the employee value proposition (EVP) and recruitment marketing plan for Sellafield Ltd ensuring, working closely with the Head of Resourcing to create the resourcing strategy for the Enterprise. The Talent Acquisition Strategy Lead informs the technology roadmap and candidate experience ensuring it meets the requirements of the Resourcing function, ensuring optimisation and efficiency in all areas.
Requirement for a sound understanding of the business and our skills / capability requirements; ensuring we have the branding and best practice approaches to ensuring Sellafield Ltd is seen as an Employer of Choice.
Challenges include identifying qualified candidates in a competitive job market, ensuring we have the tools to attract individuals with a good fit between the candidate and the company culture, informing hiring needs across different capabilities, and staying updated with industry trends and advancements in recruitment.
Ensuring the organisation reflects the EVP and the candidate experience is seamless from point of attraction through to onboarding and first 12 months in the organisation.
Principal Accountabilities
• Ongoing maintenance of the Sellafield EVP and employer brand, being an SME for the People function to ensure compliance with the brand guidelines across all use and assets.
• Leveraging the EVP, shape and communicate the messaging that presents Sellafield Ltd as an employer of choice across all markets.
• Develop and implement a recruitment marketing plan aligned with the strategic resourcing priorities, to drive increased engagement and applications for all areas of the business.
• Deliver both internal and external marketing campaigns to attract talent into all business areas.
• Drive a model that moves away from relying on reactive activities to pro-active candidate engagement.
• Ensure all brand and marketing strategies support D&I targets for Sellafield Ltd and the wider NDA group.
• Own the relationship with the employer brand agencies, leading business reviews and agency performance, and ensuring positive return on investment on all spend.
• Build and nurture online communities, delivering innovative events and social media campaigns for significant engagement and community growth.
• Constant improvement activities ensuring that the best possible experience is delivered to candidates and hiring managers.
• Provide regular reporting on campaign performance, optimisation, and return on investment.
• Working collaboratively with the Resourcing Partners to enable the delivery of the resourcing plans (aligned to ASL)
• Support the Resourcing function by ensuring the employer brand toolkit is constantly updated, meeting all needs.
• Understand industry trends to guide direction of investment and strategy.
• Leverage data to drive principles and decision making, as well as improving activities.
• In collaboration with the Recruitment Team Leader, oversee all recruitment platforms, always ensuring maximum optimisation and efficiency.
• Management of the recruitment technology roadmap, working with the HRIS team to ensure the best possible utilisation of available functionality.
• In collaboration with the Recruitment Team Leader, oversee and manage the development and maintenance of a dashboard showing functional data and KPIs. Produce regular reports to show performance and identify opportunities to increase engagement and improve metrics.
• Oversee and deliver recruitment for Executive roles.
• Oversee and deliver suitable relevant continuous improvement projects across the function, collaborating with stakeholders.
Essential Skills
• Significant experience of relevant sectors from which Sellafield Ltd will recruit within.
• Deep understanding of developing and owning targeted talent acquisition strategies.
• Experience developing and executing recruitment marketing strategies.
• Excellent influencing and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of legislative & policy frameworks, including diversity.
• Strong planning and prioritisation skills with exceptional capability to deliver meaningful candidate analysis and narratives.
• Experience in shaping and driving Employer Value Proposition (EVP) to create a lasting employer brand that reflects the company’s DNA and attracts top talent.
• Proven in crafting and implementing comprehensive employer branding strategies, enhancing brand visibility to niche and targeted audiences.
• Significant experience of executive and professional search.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a coaching & positive challenging style.
• Driven to deliver quality candidates and is results and output orientated.
• Resilience, tenacity, and self-starter
Desirable Skills
• MCIPD/MREC qualified or equivalent
• Academic level 6 or above in relevant discipline or equivalent.
• Level 7 CIPD, or equivalent educational achievement (post-graduate/masters’ level) or a willingness to achieve this upon appointment.
• A broad level of professional HR knowledge and experience as well as an understanding of the people systems and processes used within the organisation.
