Job Description

The Recruitment Team Leader is responsible for leading, motivating and developing a team of recruitment administrators to deliver a high-quality, timely and customer-focused recruitment service. The role has accountability for team performance, service delivery and continuous improvement, ensuring recruitment activities are delivered efficiently, compliantly and in line with agreed KPIs and service standards. The Team Leader works closely with stakeholders across the business to drive operational excellence, enhance customer experience and support organisational objectives.

Principal Accountabilities

• Lead, motivate, coach and develop team members, creating a high-performing and inclusive team culture that supports engagement and continuous learning.
• Manage team performance through regular one-to-ones, coaching, feedback and development planning, ensuring achievement of agreed objectives, KPIs and service standards.
• Monitor workloads and allocate resources effectively, anticipating service demands and adjusting priorities to ensure delivery of recruitment objectives.
• Manage recruitment service delivery, ensuring activities are completed accurately, efficiently and in compliance with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
• Act as an escalation point for complex operational issues, undertaking root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels, managing expectations and supporting positive recruitment outcomes.
• Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance service quality, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Analyse performance data and management information to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and data protection legislation.
• Promote a culture of wellbeing, accountability, collaboration and excellent customer service.

Essential Skills

• Demonstrable experience leading or supervising a recruitment operational team with accountability for performance management.
• Proven ability to coach, develop and motivate individuals and teams to improve performance and capability.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience building effective relationships across multiple business areas.
• Experience managing team performance against KPIs, SLAs and service delivery targets.
• Ability to analyse operational issues, identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Experience identifying and delivering process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality or customer experience.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to allocate resources, manage competing priorities and respond to changing business requirements.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to adapt approaches for different audiences.
• Good understanding of recruitment processes, customer service principles and administrative controls.
• Working knowledge of Sellafield’s terms and conditions, together with its recruitment processes, policies, and practices.

Desirable Skills

• Level 3-5 qualification in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources or a related discipline.
• Experience working within a shared services environment.
• Experience supporting process improvement initiatives.
• Experience working in a regulated, public sector or high-security environment.
• Familiarity with recruitment systems and applicant tracking systems.
• Knowledge of recruitment best practice and candidate attraction methods.

This position will be based at West Cumbria House with four days in the office and one working from home.

Interviews for this vacancy are expected to take place on either 14th October or 19th October.
