The SIC (Site Integration Capability) establishes the data, tools, processes and governance for enterprise-wide SCC (Sellafield Coordination Centre adoption), which will align Operations with Strategy.

• What is the SCC tool?
– The SCC tool is a visual capability that provides users with a view of the future demands and services across the Sellafield site.

• Why is the SCC tool used?
– The SCC purpose is to support Sellafield in proactively assessing and planning site activities, allowing issues to be prioritised and escalated.

• How does the SCC act as an enabler?
– The SCC enables the Enterprise to coordinate using the right information, with the appropriate people, in a timely manner.

This position provides support to the Site Integration Capability (SIC) Manager to establish data, tools, processes and governance to align Operation with Strategy by use of the Site Co-ordination Centre (SCC) tool and process to identify, resolve and escalate threats and opportunities before they impact on Sellafield’s Mission Delivery.

Principal Accountabilities

• Promote and support nuclear, conventional, radiological, environmental and security safety by maintaining a safe operating envelope through ensuring all work activities adhere to site standards, policies, processes, and procedures.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the SCC tool and process with the PPP development team to ensure safe delivery of Site Integration activities against defined standards, company objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Act as a triage service for enterprise threats identified via the SCC/SIC software.
• Lead and support site-wide working groups to identify, resolve and escalate cross portfolio threats to Enterprise Mission Delivery.
• To support the strategic alignment of Master Production Schedules and Product and Secondary Waste Plan’s (PSWP).
• Support effective operations by acting as secretary for key working groups and governance meetings, authoring reports and presenting at committees/working groups as and when required.
• In addition to the above, the role holder is expected to fulfil other duties and tasks that are commensurate with their grade assigned to them by management to ensure efficient operations and the success of the team / organisation.

Essential Skills

• Broad knowledge of operations/projects/programmes/strategy.
• Good stakeholder management and influencing skills and the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation
• Good written and verbal communication for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, simplifying and optimising information to improve performance.

“What are the biggest challenges facing Sellafield to successfully deliver the commitments outlined in the Delivery Plan”.
