Ava
Firefighter Apprentice

“Working on the Sellafield site is actually one of the biggest challenges of the course so far, purely because it is enormous so there is so much to see and learn. Going around the different buildings and nuclear facilities is really fascinating, learning what goes on inside each building and getting to meet lots of different people in the business and the supply chain is great. There is a massive sense of community.”

Jack
Nuclear Operator Apprentice

“Throughout my operations apprenticeship, I’ve gained key nuclear skills and learned about the retrievals process. I understand that our role in receiving waste is crucial to the clean up of the site’s oldest plants. What excites me most is that we have so much more ahead. While we no longer accept waste from reprocessing, we’re gearing up to start receiving bulk retrieval waste, and I’m excited to be part of that.”
