Business Admin Apprentice
How did your background play a role in choosing this particular programme?

This was a mid-career change for me as an older apprentice who had already worked different roles, such as; Early years practitioner, customer service desk, TA in the early years and a cleaner. I knew I wanted to develop my career and be able to work towards goals that I set myself; the business admin scheme seemed the perfect way to do that.

What key skills have you developed during your time at Sellafield?

I have developed my confidence massively since starting my apprenticeship, I feel more comfortable speaking to multiple different people and getting involved in different things in work. My time management has improved, and I am able to balance my work life and home life well. Computer skills have improved as well, I use multiple different IT programmes daily. Balancing different tasks and working on prioritising is a skill I am developing currently.
