Rosie Rosie Quality Degree Apprentice Why did you choose the quality degree apprenticeship? I enjoy working as part of a team and the sense of community that creates. I did not know what I wanted to do and when I came to the Sellafield open event it was the one that stood out to me the most as everyone was so enthusiastic about their job, and I could see that a sense of community exists. Quality covered all areas of the business which interested me as everyone wants to deliver right first time. Then I applied to attend a week’s work experience for quality to find out more. From a young age I have always been the type of person who likes to be well prepared, and that translates into the ability to organise myself and tasks, follow rules and guidelines. I also enjoy communicating and engaging with others, all of which I feel are excellent attributes for a role in the nuclear industry, specifically Quality, where being organised, following standards, and encouraging/ensuring others do the same is an essential quality.
