Charlie Charlie Civil Asset Management Degree Apprentice Sum up what the civil asset management apprenticeship is in one sentence The Civil Asset Management apprenticeship is tailored to individuals who have an interest in working with and managing Civil Engineering components such as bridges, buildings, roads, and drainage with the apprenticeship looking at managing the current civil assets on site, rather than being involved in the start of the construction and applying learnt knowledge to the different departments in the Civil Equipment Programme i.e., Engineering, Assurance and Maintenance. Why did you choose a degree apprenticeship over university? My aim, even from year 11, was to get an apprenticeship. Both my parents were lucky enough to have apprenticeships. The biggest factor for me was that I could earn money whilst I learn, and gain my degree through funding from Sellafield Ltd. Another factor for me getting a degree apprenticeship is that I find it easier to learn hands-on, and completing college part-time helped me become comfortable and familiar with the workplace and learn greatly faster than I otherwise would. Having a degree apprenticeship can help secure a job at the end of serving your time compared to university where you’ll still need to apply. Apply now Apply now
