Focused on safely reducing hazards and risks while delivering sustainable solutions that create value across environmental, economic, and social dimensions, the Environment team plays a key role in supporting Sellafield operations while ensuring adherence to environmental obligations and impact reduction. Responsibilities include maintaining Environmental Management System, delivering expert environmental guidance, coordinating with regulators on permits and approvals, developing Environment Cases and assessments, and conducting environmental monitoring and compliance reviews. Our team ensures all activities meet or exceed established environmental standards while supporting the site’s transformation goals. Typical Roles and Responsibilities Join our Environmental team as a student, you’ll work with both our Corporate Environmental Team and plant operations, gaining hands-on experience. Collaborate with environmental professionals, regulators, management, and technical teams while conducting Best Available Techniques (BAT) assessments, preparing Environmental Cases, and leading investigations. Your role involves environmental assurance, stakeholder engagement, and providing expert guidance on environmental aspects of projects.
