Work Experience

Sellafield Ltd offers a 1-week work experience programme designed to help you explore early career opportunities as you plan your next steps.

Held at our West Cumbria sites and Hinton House in Warrington, the programme mirrors our varied career paths and is open to students aged 14–18 (Years 10–13).

You’ll gain insight into life at Sellafield Ltd, meet our employees, including those starting their careers, and discover the opportunities available.

  • APPLICATION FORM

    Research-Development

    Applications for work experience, in both locations will be made directly through this site, when live you will find them on the search and apply page. You’ll be asked to answer questions relating to your education, hobbies and interests, and why you are interested in a work experience opportunity.

  • APPLICATION REVIEW

    We will review your application and aim to provide you with the outcome within four weeks of our advertisement closing. We will contact you directly via the email address provided in your application form.

  • WORK EXPERIENCE OFFERS

    Donate

    If you are successful in securing a work experience placement, we will send you confirmation of this including scheme information, placement location and planned start date.

  • NEXT STEPS

    We will contact you to share further information on your placement; what to expect from your week with us, your hosts information, building arrangements, dress code, local transport and your Safeguarding contact. We will also contact your education provider to let them know you have been offered a placement at Sellafield Ltd.
