Join Sellafield’s dive team for an action-packed week exploring commercial diving and marine operations. Learn how our divers maintain equipment, operate vessels, and manage decompression chambers and ROVs. Assist as deck crew, prepare diving rigs, and support emergency training exercises. Weather permitting, work with ROVs and practice first aid and casualty care. Gain a unique insight into the skills and teamwork required to support Sellafield’s dive operations. This hands-on experience is perfect for those curious about the challenges and rewards of a career in diving and marine services.

This programme will take place out at Sea. Sometimes the weather prevents us from taking you out on the boat. If this happens your placement will go ahead in a building on our main site, at Seascale. *Learners must be 15 at the time of their work experience placement, to obtain an escorted visitor pass.
