Information on the role: We are offering an opportunity in the Internal Communications team at Sellafield Ltd. This is a 12 month maternity cover. The successful candidate will be expected to have a broad understanding of digital communication tools and skills. There will be the opportunity to investigate and develop skills to use the following: • SharePoint 2013 and OnLine • Viva Connections • Viva Engage • Govdelivery • Digital signage (Clever Touch and Clever Live) Part of the role will be to work with the Internal Communication team to ensure these channels and others are being used effectively. What will the Successful Candidate be Doing: The successful candidate will be fulfilling the role of communications officer within the department, meaning they will be expected to: • Develop contacts within the organisation in order to provide advice and support on internal communication and engagement approaches in line with the Sellafield Ltd Communications and Stakeholder Engagement strategy. • Offer colleagues suggestions on the best way to tailor content for publications. • Edit copy effectively with an eye for a great headline, flair and accuracy. • Bring a new perspective to our internal communications campaigns and offer advice on communications tools which could be used to support them. • Identify and commission copy from contributors where appropriate, and offer advice on the best way to present/write that content for different channels. • Ensure that corporate branding and editorial standards are upheld. • Ensure that all communications activity undertaken is backed up with planned effective measurement and feedback, and that this information is used to develop ongoing communications. • Contribute to the Sellafield Ltd Emergency Duty team.
