Job Description To act on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer in supporting the delivery of the Cambridge Programme, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into tangible outcomes. The role operates with delegated authority from the CEO, providing senior project leadership, stakeholder management and delivery oversight across a complex portfolio of work involving internal and external partners. The postholder will work directly with senior leaders, subject matter experts and external stakeholders to drive progress, resolve barriers and ensure delivery remains aligned to organisational priorities and CEO expectations. This is a 12 month opportunity, open to applications from those graded 4A only. Principal Accountabilities • Lead delivery of the Cambridge Programme on behalf of the CEO, translating strategic priorities into clear plans and outcomes. • Drive progress across workstreams, maintaining oversight of performance, risks, dependencies and key milestones. • Act as the primary programme contact, building strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders. • Represent the organisation in meetings and engagement activities, influencing outcomes and resolving barriers to delivery. • Coordinate governance, reporting and decision-making processes, ensuring timely escalation of issues and risks. • Produce high-quality briefings, reports and presentations to support Executive and Board discussions. • Provide strategic advice and support to the CEO, anticipating opportunities, challenges and decisions. • Track actions and commitments through to completion, ensuring accountability and delivery. • Identify opportunities to improve programme effectiveness and accelerate progress through practical solutions and continuous improvement. Essential Experience & Skills Essential Experience • Significant experience leading complex strategic projects or programmes. • Experience working with senior executives and influencing decision-making. • Strong stakeholder management skills across organisational boundaries. • Experience producing high-quality executive briefings and reports. • Demonstrable track record of delivering outcomes in complex and ambiguous environments.
