Job Description The Cyber Process Support plays a key role in supporting the effective development, implementation, and continuous improvement of cyber security processes and governance frameworks across Sellafield Ltd. The role focuses on coordinating process activities, maintaining accurate and auditable documentation, and supporting the consistent application of cyber policies, standards, and procedures across IT, OT, and supply chain environments. Operating within a highly regulated and safety critical environment, the postholder ensures that cyber processes are well structured, repeatable, and aligned with organisational risk, compliance, and operational requirements. They support management in maintaining a robust and scalable governance model that enables effective control of cyber risk and supports audit and assurance readiness. Principal Accountabilities • Support the coordination, documentation, and continuous improvement of cyber security processes to ensure consistency, repeatability, and effectiveness across the organisation. • Maintain and update key process artefacts, including policies, standards, procedures, process maps, and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organisational requirements. • Assist in embedding cyber governance processes across IT, OT, and supply chain domains, promoting consistent understanding and application. • Act as a liaison between the cyber security function and internal stakeholders to support the implementation and adoption of cyber processes and standards. • Assist in the coordination and tracking of process-related actions, improvements, and change initiatives, ensuring progress is monitored and recorded. • Support the monitoring and reporting of process effectiveness through defined KPIs, metrics, and dashboards, highlighting trends or areas for improvement. • Facilitate cyber governance and process forums by preparing materials, capturing outputs, and ensuring actions are tracked to completion. • Provide support in mapping cyber processes to regulatory, compliance, and industry frameworks (e.g.NISR, SyAPs, CAF), ensuring traceability and alignment. • Assist in preparing documentation and evidence to support internal audits, assurance reviews, and regulatory inspections, ensuring process-related evidence is complete and auditable. • Support the Cyber Process Manager in identifying process gaps, inefficiencies, or inconsistencies, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. • Contribute to the development and delivery of process awareness materials, guidance, and communications to support adoption across the organisation. Authorities & Dimensions • Budget Responsibility: None. • Line Management: None (may mentor junior support staff or apprentices). • Decision-Making Authority: Operates under guidance; responsible for accurate and timely delivery of assigned tasks. • Reporting Line: Reports to Cyber Process Manager Essential Skills • Experience in a governance, process, or compliance support role, ideally within a cyber or ICT environment. • Strong organisational and documentation skills. • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as ONR SyAPs, NISR 2003, and the NCSC CAF. • Excellent written communication and documentation skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems. • HNC/HND or equivalent experience in cyber security, business administration, or a related field. Desirable Skills • Experience in the nuclear or critical national infrastructure (CNI) sector. • Familiarity with process mapping, process improvement methodologies, or governance frameworks. • Understanding of cyber security principles and terminology. • Experience using workflow or compliance tracking tools (e.g., SharePoint, ServiceNow).
