Job Description To manage and deliver a digital development and data engineering service to Engineering, Maintenance and Operations that supports the site maintenance, asset management, equipment reliability, system engineering and work delivery business processes aligned to NDA specifications and Sellafield Ltd. corporate strategies. Principal Accountabilities • Deliver a digital development and data engineering service to Engineering & Maintenance and Operations to meet efficiency targets aligned to NDA specifications and Sellafield Ltd. corporate strategies. • Collaborate with project managers, change managers and user organisations to agree detailed requirements, design and test solutions and deploy platforms and services to meet functional requirements. • Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for governance, assurance and IT and information security for platforms and services commensurate with the functional requirements, acting as the interface to internal and external auditors or regulators on technical matters. • Manage and develop a diverse team of digital developers both internal and external coordinating, directing and integrating the delivery of work. • Provide an oversight of the strategic direction of the Digital Asset Management scope of work ensuring alignment with the Engineering and Maintenance Strategic plan. • Work with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategic planning and identifying future efficiencies. • Support the implementation of new platforms driving processes and Change Management through design and deploying digital solutions. • Support the portfolio Leads and EM&AD Lead team with the identification and facilitation of Digital solutions ensuring efficiencies are made and recorded. • Oversight of supporting corporate reporting, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making. • Management of the full life cycle of digital services (development, deployment, maintenance and contionuous improvement). Knowledge & Experience • Higher level qualification or equivalent training/experience in a relevant engineering or information systems discipline. • Experience of managing in a role with exposure to information systems. • Ability to facilitate, interpret and capture functional requirements and translate into proposed solutions in order to provide specialist technical advice to others. • Detailed knowledge of relevant technical areas and processes. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical information to all levels of audience. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to spot trends and predict and mitigate issues. Essential Skills • Higher level qualification or equivalent training/experience in a relevant engineering or information systems discipline. • Experience of delivering digital solutions that meet business, regulatory, and safety requirement. • Demonstrable ability to coordinate and integrate delivery across internal teams and external supply chains. • Demonstrable knowledge of the change management processes, including assessment, testing, release, and governance of digital updates. • Demonstrates strong management skills, with expereince of setting targets and delivering to time, cost and quality. • Experience of demonstrating excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical information to all levels of the organisation. • Experience of demonstrating excellent analytical skills with the ability to spot trends and predict and mitigate issues. • Demonstrable experience embedding cyber security and secure by design principles into digital platforms and data solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational security standards Desirable Skills • Demonstrable experience building or scaling agile digital development capabilities. • Ability to achieve chartership in a relevant discipline. • Demonstrates experience defining platform requirements to support procurement and lifecycle management. • Demonstrable ability to develop forward roadmaps for digital services, including upgrades and new capabilities. • Experience delivering user upskilling, training, and adoption for new digital platforms • Demonstrates knowledge of governance frameworks for introducing new platforms into operational environments. • Experience supporting corporate reporting, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making. • Experience of managing full life cycle of digital services (development, deployment, maintenance and continuous improvement).
