Job Description The Digital Development Team develops digital solutions to improve efficiency, safety and effectiveness of business processes by migrating them to digital platforms including Hexagon j5. Developers are required to configure and support these tools that will enable significant improvements to the mobile front-line workforce. While experience with j5 is desirable, aptitude and experience with developing solutions (perhaps in Excel, Access, SharePoint or PowerPlatform) that use data to support the business would make you a suitable candidate Deliverables • Delivers work packages to agreed scope, quality, and timescales • Resolves complex technical issues encountered during delivery • Applies standards, methods, and good practice consistently within the team • Provides expert input into designs, plans and analyses owned by the team • Identifies technical risks and constraints during delivery and raises them early • Collaborates closely with others to maintain delivery momentum • Improves the quality and reliability of team outputs through peer review • Delivers technical solutions pragmatically to operational and delivery realities • Contributes to continuous improvement of the team’s way of working Knowledge & Experience Experience in facilitating, interpreting and capturing functional requirements and delivering technical solutions. The ability to lead packages of work, from requirements capture through development and supporting business change. Essential Skills • Higher level qualification or equivalent training/experience in a relevant engineering, IT or business discipline • Demonstrable evidence of facilitating, interpreting and capturing functional requirements and translating into technical solutions. • Good communicator, able to communicate complex ideas to audiences of all levels. • Experienced in development of solutions that deliver benefits using data. • Demonstrates accuracy, quality and an attention to detail in their work. • Demonstrable experience of delivering change. Desirable Skills • Experience in scripting and automation. • Experience in database development. • Experience in dashboard development. • Experience in report development. • Experience in user interface design. • Experience in the principles of data architecture and master data management. • Experience in testing or test automation.
