Executive Project Manager – Head of Projects (Non PPP) We are currently recruiting for 2 Executive Project Managers for the roles detailed below: Head of Projects (Non PPP): The Executive Project Manager provides leadership to the Heads of Projects/ Senior Project Managers and wider team to facilitate safe delivery of a portfolio of projects in the approved project baseline. The Executive Project Manager reports directly to a Value Stream Lead/ Director and implements appropriate governance arrangements to ensure all business and facility risks within their portfolio are mitigated. Principal Accountabilities: • To ensure that the Project Delivery Fundamentals are understood, embedded and compiled with by their delivery teams. • Develop Leadership standards across • Develop and set the environment so project succeeds, eg. developing commercial strategies. • Develop and deliver improvement plans for their portfolio taking into account Assurance outputs, in conjunction with the PM Function, to address identified shortfalls and drive broad business performance improvements and • Develop effective communication between the project teams and engaging and influencing • Establishing and managing the portfolio baselines (cost, schedule and risk) and Programme contingency with the Programme Manager. • Linking and logically sequencing inter-related projects if • Monitoring overall portfolio performance (in terms of cost, schedule, safety and quality) and assuring corrective actions are implemented, if required, via the appropriate PM. • For developing accurate and timely portfolio reports which highlight safety, quality, cost and schedule performance and issues. • Develop and conduct visual management across • In agreement with the PMs under their control, ensure a project staffing plan is prepared in line with the agreed directorate business needs/execution • Serving as the focal point for both internal and external communication on the portfolio. • Implementing improvements and enhance performance of projects Executive Project Manager – Head of Asset Lifecycle Head of Asset Lifecycle: To arrest the degradation of assets on the Sellafield Site through the delivery of a safe, efficient and effective asset delivery cycle. This includes the delivery of a highly complex/high risk portfolio of Asset Care projects and tasks utilising an extended enterprise approach, accountable to the Chief Engineer. Principal Accountabilities • Develop a comprehensive forward demand profile for the major assets on the Sellafield Site to under-pin the forward Enterprise plan. • Implement appropriate cross organisational governance to ensure that the delivery capability and capacity is prioritised appropriately. • Develop an efficient front-end definition capability to reduce the project norms associated with the decision making and sanction up to FEL2 without impacting subsequent phase norms. • Implement an integrated Intelligent client and intelligent customer capability across all the partner vehicles to ensure appropriate standardisation; maximise post award value creation. • Delivery of up to £300m per annum minor and major projects via the appropriate delivery route following appropriate make:buy consideration; developing and maintaining appropriate supply chain relationships. • Deliver smooth transition and mobilisation of new vehicles IDP/PACE/DSP • Ensure appropriate oversight and governance of the major project delivery vehicles (ISA/IDP; OSW/PACE; DSA/DSP) delivering the critical success factors identified in the respective business cases. • Significantly improve the design and delivery norms of minor and major projects across the portfolio. • Liaise with the required professions to maintain project skills and capability.
