Job Description To provide and maintain a comprehensive MPS service for designated Plant Areas, including associated interactions, performance measurement and long term planning. This is a 12 month opportunity, open to applications from those graded 4A only. Principal Accountabilities • Produce Annual Master Production Schedules for OU/Area process streams as required, maintain, update and issue Master Production Schedule weekly. • Update the Site Manufacturing Plan / CEO Report weekly and in line with period reporting. • Support the monthly Site Operations Integration meeting and Site Operations Planning (SOP). • Update the Plan of the Week for Site Co-ordination meetings weekly, Fleetcall inputs. • Co-ordinate and communicate with other manufacturing planners to ensure integration of MPS. • Develop and maintain good relationships and network of contacts including associated OU/Area and Programme Office. • Liaise with internal and external consignors for deliveries to respective plants where required. • Provide appropriate visual management and KPIs. • Provide guidance on issues appropriate to the individuals working area including information and analysis to Operations and OU Heads on operational performance. • Monitor and visibility of performance, programme slippage and options for recovery. • Active involvement in improvement initiatives/projects. • Develop understanding of other Site MPS and cover as required. • Maintain work instructions up to date to enable flexibility across the service. • Deal with day to day queries with regard to the MPS and deliverables above. • Be the first point of contact for planning queries from the OU or other customers/stakeholders. • Attend monthly Programme and performance meetings, feeding in MPS data and develop understanding of Operational performance and impact on outcomes. • Complies with legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and procedures e.g. safety, quality, risk, security etc. applicable to the role. Essential Skills • Present information to a high standard of quality within challenging deadlines. • Able to work within a small team and take personal responsibility for accuracy of information. • Proactive approach to development and implementation of improvements. • Proficient in the use of Excel. Desirable Skills • Knowledge and experience of MPS Methodology, planning preparation and delivery. • Experience of Operational planning or Project Controls experience. • Ability to work direct or indirect with the customer with minimum support meeting desired standards. • Ability to communicate key information to customers, suppliers and stakeholders. • Advise on opportunities, conflicts and recovery, through forensics planning/schedule interrogation techniques. • Understanding of Site Strategy, Integrated planning, structure and lifetime plan. • Knowledge of Master Production Schedules (MPS’s) how they integrate in line with Site Strategy. • Some experience of Primavera although not essential but prepared to develop skills. • Knowledge of Fleetcall and impact upon the Value Stream. • Understanding of Site Operations.
