Job Description The objective of the role is to support the successful performance of the Commercial Function through the successful delivery and maintenance of a robust procurement pipeline schedule. To direct, manage and maintain the delivery of the procurement pipeline schedule via the system administration and all associated activities; leading to increased data accuracy and enhanced stakeholder confidence. To produce and publish the Supply Chain Procurement Plan as well as providing general procurement planning advice and guidance. To support and develop Commercial personnel and Business Clients’ knowledge and understanding of the Procurement Planning process, the procurement pipeline schedule as well as the Atamis Commercial System module to enable them to create and maintain their procurement plans and data successfully, consistently and in line with Commercial Function Policies and Procedures. Principal Accountabilities • To direct and maintain the accuracy of the Pipeline and all associated activities, leading to increased data accuracy, enhanced stakeholder confidence and transparency. • To proactively work with the business and Commercial Function to produce and publish the Pipeline Tool as well as providing general procurement planning advice and guidance, via engagement with procurement practitioners, Category Teams and clients within the business, as appropriate. • To analyse the Pipeline to provide management information that will support value adding decision making. • To support and develop commercial personnel and business clients’ knowledge and understanding of the Pipeline Planning process, as well as the link between the Pipeline Tool and the relevant sections within Atamis, to enable them to create and maintain their procurement plan records and data successfully, consistently and in line with best practice. • To assess and analyse procurement planning needs of the business. • To monitor data quality in collaboration with Commercial Function Category Teams. • To create and publish the external website report (procurement pipeline). • To ensure (through monitoring) the golden thread to the Baseline and Operating Plan. • To work with Commercial Function Category Teams to identify trends, periods of peaks and troughs, through plan monitoring and forecasting. • To manage the Commercial Function procurement pipeline change control process and associated forms /logs and provide periodic awareness training, as appropriate/ necessary. • To schedule and manage Commercial Function procurement pipeline meetings and provide periodic and annual pipeline analysis. • To undertake monthly procurement performance analysis for Commercial Function Dashboard Reporting, and as required for broader reporting requirements. Essential Skills • HNC or equivalent in Business Management, Procurement, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management or relevant discipline together with one of the following: – Actively working towards Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Practitioner (Level 4) in line with Learning Agreement OR – Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors equivalent. • Use of Primavera and / or MS Project as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. • Strong communication skills. The role holder needs to be comfortable presenting data to leadership or a non-technical audience. • Analytical and logical Skills with a strong attention to detail. • Strives for Continuous Improvement. • Awareness of baseline management principles. Desirable Skills • Working knowledge and experience of public procurement legal requirements. • Working knowledge of project management foundational principles. • Working knowledge of change management foundational principles. • Customer Orientation. • Thirst for Knowledge.
