Manage a team through the task delivery process to deliver fit for purpose tasks within agreed baseline targets.

Deliverables:

• Leads the management, delivery and reporting of work packages using cross-functional team to deliver solutions in-line with company policies.
• Lead and manage a team of task engineers and project professionals to ensure they are using fundamentals of task delivery process to manage the planning and execution of assigned tasks.
• Build effective relationships with third-party organisations and supply chain partners to drive the timely and cost-effective delivery of work while maintaining required quality standards.
• Identify and manage risks and escalate any issues accordingly.
• Utilise LFE and disseminate to relevant functions.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and support including performance appraisals.
• Exhibits demonstrable leadership behaviours in line with SL vision – safe and security, integrity, ambition and inclusion.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities including providing vision, motivation and inspiration, setting high standards and expectations, leading by example and holding task delivery team and Supply Chain Partners to account.
• Highly effective at building collaborative relationships and leading formal communications across customers, the supply chain, and stakeholder groups.
• Managing the teams performance, development and capability.

Knowledge & Experience

• Higher level qualification or equivalent training/experience in a task management environment.
• Proven ability to lead and manage programmes of work in task management environment.
• Experience in working in a customer facing environment where effective stakeholder engagement, influencing skills, professional integrity is key.
• Experience in developing a delivery vehicle/organisation to meet the demands of the scope
• Broad commercial knowledge and ability to set-up and manage a commercial vehicle.
• Knowledge and experience of PMP and CDM requirements.

Essential Skills

• Higher level qualification or equivalent training/experience in a task management environment.
• Demonstrable experience of leading and managing a team effectively.
• Demonstrable experience of producing, maintaining, leading on and embedding processes and standards in a task environment.
• Ability to foster collaboration with team colleagues and wider business community.
• Experience of managing Cost Control and Forecasting across multiple delivery areas.
• Experience of managing a multi-discipline supply chain organisation.

Desirable Skills

• PMP manager role.
• Project Management qualification or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of asset management process.
• Understanding of CDM Regulations.
