You will carry out the delivery and assessment of a number of different courses to meet business demand/ requirements for the Sellafield Site. These courses are classroom, on-simulators/rigs and on-plant delivery.

Starting Salary: £49,239 – £50,915 dependent on skills & experience + an annual bonus of up to £4k.
Working Pattern: Days (37.5 hours per week)
Location: B111, Sellafield, West Cumbria

What will the Successful Candidate be Doing:

Principal Accountabilities

• To ensure learner safety in the training environment.
• Serve as a role model for safety and nuclear professional behaviours in the business.
• Effective delivery of training materials in accordance with established standards.
• Effectively utilise and adapt appropriate techniques for engaging learners to participate in meeting the learning objectives.
• Effectively reduce learning barriers, monitor and coach learners with any learning needs.
• Carry out post training evaluations and provide/respond to feedback.
• Participate in audits, evaluations and reviews as required by local area/project.
• Coach and share information with other team members with regard to applying Sellafield Ltd learning methodology.
• Is able to attend B111 or other identified SL location for a full working week to meet course delivery.

About (the profession/team)

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Skills:

• Accredited instructor qualification or other recognised adult learning/instruction qualification (PTLLS, QTLLS, PGCE, RTITB) or equivalent.
• Relevant Plant / Business / Training or Educational experience.
• Previous experience of Training Delivery/ Teaching or Coaching.
• Understanding of the application of Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to hold dialogue at all levels of the business.
• Practical understanding of different learning styles, experience of reducing barriers to learning and transferring this to a learning environment.
• Good level of IT literacy.
• Ability to motivate others.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills:

• Understanding of Site legal, regulatory and statutory requirements.
