The Host Interface Representative (HIR) is a pivotal role supporting the successful delivery of a WANO Corporate Peer Review (CPR). Acting as the primary liaison between Sellafield and the WANO review team, the HIR ensures effective coordination, communication, and facilitation throughout all phases of the review.

The role requires leading the organisation’s preparation, enabling efficient execution of the review, and supporting post-review understanding and response to findings. The HIR works closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to ensure the organisation is fully engaged and derives maximum value from the review process.

Who: Senior Leaders within the organisation (Band 3B Upper and above)

When: 2027 onwards. With the ultimate aim of 2029 Corporate Peer Review delivery.

How: This will be an additional role for personal development, not a full time role.

Core Accountabilities

• Act as the single point of contact between Sellafield and the WANO CPR Team Leader and review team
• Lead and coordinate pre-review preparations, including readiness activities, document collation, and scheduling
• Ensure WANO has a clear understanding of the organisation’s structure, governance, strategy, and key risks
• Develop and manage the review programme, including meetings, interviews, and site engagements
• Coordinate all logistical arrangements to support the review team
• Facilitate effective delivery of the review by ensuring availability of key personnel and timely resolution of issues
• Maintain alignment with senior leadership, providing updates on progress and emerging themes where appropriate
• Support internal engagement to ensure openness, transparency, and responsiveness during the review
• Challenge findings from the review which are not accurate or would not give value to Sellafield
• Assist in post-review activities, including understanding findings and supporting development of action plans
• Dedicate a reasonable proportion of time to the role, whilst managing/delegating full time role duties

Knowledge & Experience

• Good understanding of nuclear industry operations, governance, and organisational structures
• Familiarity with WANO processes and peer reviews (desirable)
• Experience of coordinating complex programmes, reviews, or audits
• Demonstrable experience working with senior leadership teams
• Strong understanding of organisational performance, oversight, and improvement frameworks
• Experience in stakeholder coordination across multiple functions
• Knowledge of continuous improvement, learning, and organisational effectiveness principles
