The Finance Business Partner (FBP) acts as the interface between enterprise financial objectives and the performance of their business area, ensuring decisions are informed, aligned and value-driven. Working alongside senior stakeholders, the FBP is accountable for ensuring robust financial governance and assurance, compliance with financial standards, and delivering clear, actionable information to support decision-making. By maintaining a close working relationship with business leaders, the FBP is highly influential in ensuring that financial performance aligns with organisational goals, driving continuous improvement in financial processes and business outcomes. Business partnering: build trusted relationships with senior leaders; translate complex financial and non-financial information to provide clear, actionable insight and constructive challenge on budgets, forecasts, risks and opportunities. Act as a trusted adviser, delivering clear financial guidance & decision support: Support business decisions, including but not limited to; investment choices, management of funding and forecasts, budget adherence, financial performance. Provide financial assurance and constructive challenge to maintain the integrity of financial processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies. Lead and implement departmental improvement initiatives, enhancing processes, systems, and ways of working to support better decision-making. Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure financial alignment with broader business objectives, offering challenge and support where necessary. Analysis and interpretation of complex financial data, providing senior leaders with clear, actionable insights to inform decisions.
