Armed Forces Covenant - Employer Recognition: Silver Award

Who we are?

The Armed Forces Network provides a central forum for our employees with links to the UK Armed Forces who work for Sellafield Ltd and its Enterprise Business Partners. This includes Veterans, Reservists, those who support local Cadet Forces and military charities, and family members of Armed Forces personnel. We currently have about 30 members both in Warrington and West Cumbria.

What we do

The Network’s purpose is to meet and support each other on issues and challenges which specifically interest or affect this group.

The Network aims to support UK Armed Forces, Veterans and their families who work across the business and help to shape company strategy and be thought leaders for the company in this area.

It also offers peer support, including professional mentoring for members of the network, particularly those newer employees transitioning form military life into industry for the first time. The network is also a place to discuss and share experiences and challenges which pertain to Armed Forces and Veteran life.

We have supported Sellafield to sign up to the Armed Forces Covenant, and to achieve the Employers’ Recognition Scheme Silver Award.

We attend events up and down the UK all year round. We have the knowledge to help and advise you about your next steps in your transition out of military life. We can advise you what roles your skills align you to here at Sellafield, along with providing support at all stages. From writing your CV all the way through to the onboarding steps – we’re here to help.
