You can find more information on each of the schemes we have available by clicking on the following links – Apprenticeship Schemes / Degree Apprenticeship Schemes / Warrington Apprenticeship Schemes

Hints & Tips:

  • Each of our schemes have individual minimum entry requirements such as certain GCSE grades or UCAS points, please ensure you review these before applying.
  • We recommend viewing our application form, making a note of the key questions, and working on these offline until you are ready to submit your application. It is also essential you have your achieved and predicted qualification grades to hand ready to input.

Stage 2: Apprenticeship Assessment

Candidates who successfully meet our entry criteria will be invited to complete an online assessment. This assessment will measure your values, strengths, and your ability to make the right decisions. This step was previously known as the ‘aptitude test’.

You will receive the link to the assessment via email and will have a stipulated date to complete this.

Stage 2.1: Colour Vision Assessment (Only Cumbria Level 2-4)

Following your application, you may be asked to complete the Ishihara Colour Vision Test, this is nothing for you to worry about. Some of our apprenticeship programmes require standard colour vision to ensure you can safely carry out the role. You will receive the link to the assessment via email and will complete this online.

The colour vision test that we use is only an indicator test. Once you complete it, we will only contact you should we think that you may be colour blind. If we do, we will ask you to go for a professional colour vision test at your local opticians and you will then be required to send us the results.

Stage 3: Interview

Following successfully meeting the standard through our assessment stage (Stage 3), you will be invited to a strength-based face-to-face interview with a panel of two representatives from Sellafield Ltd.

The interviews will take place at a local venue.

Tip: Research the nuclear industry and understand the current affairs relating to it and Sellafield Ltd.

Stage 4: Conditional Offer

If you’re successful in your interview, you’ll be assigned the most suitable Apprenticeship / Degree scheme based on your performance. You will be contacted by the GBS Recruitment team who will issue your conditional offer of employment pack.

Please ensure you read the conditional offer pack in detail and respond to the offer within 7 days of receiving this.
